So much has happened since our last post! Our 2011 season was made possible by the support of our phenomenal family and friends! It is amazing to reflect upon all that we have been through to get to where we are today.... Working full-time, training double days, and the business of fundraising and promotion all together made for a very challenging start. But through all the challenges, we found growth and progress and were able to win the GOLD in the Greek Championships; get a 25th place in the FIVB World Tour tournament in Quebec, Canada; and win the silver medal for Greece in the Continental Cup Olympic qualifying tournament in Copenhagen, Denmark. Greece is now advanced to the semi-finals phase of Olympic qualification through the Continental Cup tournament this upcoming March in Switzerland.
Our hearts are set on our goal of qualifying for the London Olympics this year, and we are working hard to fine tune all areas of the game! This month and the last we are in an intense training camp in Athens, Greece, improving every day and working to raise the money to get us to our goal.
This journey has been filled with so much personal growth, evolution, and amazing experiences along the way! I have found that knowing my purpose and mission really opens up my heart, directs my steps, and makes each moment an opportunity that I appreciate! I feel so blessed to be on this path and to be constantly progressing and cherishing each step along the way!
